The frescoes of the oratory of San Francesco in Santa Vittoria tell the Passion of Christ in 19 panels and start from the southern wall with the Entrance into Jerusalem; followed by the Last Supper, the Washing of the feet, the Betrayal of Judas, the Prayer in the garden, the Kiss of Judas, the Arrest of Jesus, Christ before Caiaphas, the Flagellation; on the west wall the Crowning with Thorns, Christ before Pilate, the “Ecce Homo”; on the north wall the Ascent to Calvary, Jesus nailed to the cross, the Crucifixion, the Deposition, the Lamentation, plus a fragment of a soldier in the act of falling to the ground, struck by the splendor of the Resurrection.
